I was just devastated to learn that Linda died in 2007.  We were good friends and close neighbors all thru grade school and high school .  She was the only one taller than me in Mrs. Ryan's 6 grade class. And then she went on to be Miss Tall Universe!  She was a beautiful person inside and out.  I have wondered for years  how she was doing on the West Coast and hoped she wauld post here so we could reconnect.  I was so very sad to learn she died so early in her life.  Too many of our classmates have left us too soon.

To all,

Regarding Karen's comments on Linda's passing.

Fourteen years ago a Marine friend had a massive heart attack and died on a noon hour run at his business down in Houston. He was always in great shape but had a congenital heart defect.  We had been roommates on the West Coast '73-'75.  He was a great guy but we'd lost touch over the years due to transfers, etc.  I never got the chance to tell him what a great guy he was and how much I enjoyed our friendship of those many years ago.  When we were in our 20s and 30s, we didn't have the internet and email to keep in touch.  Now we have both instantaneous communications and quick & easy ways to find people.  And at our age, it might be easier also to say these things to each other than it was when we were young.  So reach out and find that Jack or Jane and let them know how you feel about them.  It might mean a lot to him or her.

Thanks,

Mel
